Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

FINAL DEADLINE: Monday, December 12th at 3:00 p.m.

Checklist to complete by Thursday, December 8th:

1. _ Create an account at (Go to Log in)

2. _ Upload AT LEAST ONE submission into the system. (Please visit your art teacher or English teacher during break or after school if you need help choosing. Artists: If you have a piece that relies heavily on another another artist’s work (ie: used another artist’s photo for an illustration) you should review with your art teacher first to ensure it is okay to submit.)

By Monday, December 12th:

3. _ Upload ALL other submissions into the system.

4. _ Give all COMPLETED AND SIGNED forms to your teacher (Mrs. Kostich or Mr. O’Connor or Ms Cook). These get printed out from the site.

5. _ Pay the entry fee*:

Pay Method 1 (Preferred). Pay fee on the portal via Pay Pal. If you do this, please make a written note on the backside of your printed form “Paid via Paypal”.

Pay Method 2. Hand in your total submission fee ($5 per artwork, $20 per senior portfolio) with your forms, paper clipped or stapled together. Please make checks out to THE BOSTON GLOBE FOUNDATION and write “Scholastic Art Awards” in the memo.

**Note: If the cost is a financial hardship, please bring printed fee waiver forms (found on the site) for each piece you need a waiver for. (You need one form for each piece you are requesting a waiver for.)
