Happy Friday, here is some middle school news for everyone!

Power of Pink – Thank you to students, parents and staff for your donations during the Student Council Power of Pink Breast Cancer charity event last week. The Council raised $487 that will be donated to the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard, MA

Parents/Guardians are invited to an informational session, ‘How to support my Middle School Child at Home‘ on 11/6, 6:30-7:30 pm in the North Library. This event is free and brought to you courtesy of the Middle School Administration!

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held during the day on November 7th (half day of school) and during the day and evening on November 14th (half day of school). Your child(ren)’s teachers probably already sent you an email to sign up to meet with them.

Quarter 1 ‘Report Cards‘ will be live in School Brains after 3pm next Friday, 11/8. Students with more than one end of quarter ‘F’ grade may not be allowed to take part in extra curricular school activities.

Our annual Vision and Hearing Screenings for students in grades 5 and 7 will be held the week of November 12th: Vision & Hearing

PTO News: If you haven’t contributed to our only fundraiser of the year, the One and Done, this is your last chance! Donate through three easy ways: Check (payable to GDRMS), Paypal (https://www.paypal.me/gdrmspto), or Venmo (GDRMSPTO). We hope that every family can make some kind of contribution to enhance our children’s middle school experience! Thank you!  Also, thank you to all those who helped with the Book Fair, and thank you for sending your child(ren) in to shop at the book fair. The resulting profit enabled us to fulfill every teacher’s wish list of books, and contribute to the PTO revenue. Please join us at our next PTO meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 8:15 outside the south cafeteria.

Save the Date! ‘Frozen’ Play – November 15th and 16th: Frozen , Bring a Sibling For Free!
