Middle School News November 27, 2019

Some Middle School Updates…

Thanksgiving Break – 11:30 dismissal on Wednesday, November 27th. No school on Thursday or Friday.

Grades in School Brains will be updated tomorrow (bi-weekly), this would be a great time to look over grades and any missing assignments with your middle schooler.

Basketball – Open to students in grades 6, 7, 8: MS Girls & Boys Basketball Tryouts are next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school from 2:30 to 4:00.   The Girls Try-Outs are in the North Gym and the Boys are in the South Gym.” Students need to be dressed for basketball and ready to start in the gym at 2:30 pm. Be sure to take care of documenting your sports physical before try-outs.  if you do not have an up-to-date sports physical, you cannot play.”

News from Wellness:  These pumpkins: Gratitude and Kindness will be delivered to Lazarus House, Bread and Roses, and a few other locations that will serve food to the homeless and shelters for the upcoming holiday. Our 5th grade students learned about gratitude and kindness and how it affects their physical, mental and social wellness.

Grade 8 News: Financial Aid Request for D. C. Trip

News from GDRMS PTO: 1. Parents and Faculty are invited to our December PTO meeting, 9:15 -10:15 in the South Cafeteria. 2. On December 13th, we will have a half day, and teachers will be spending the afternoon on professional development work.
