Happy Sunny Friday!
I have had a number of email questions regarding the Integrated Arts (IA) expectations during school closure. Just to clarify – we are expecting every student to complete at least 3 activities from ANY IA. This can be 3 from the same one, or three different IAs. The choice is up to your middle schooler! Every student that completes an average of 3 IAs for each week of school closure, and receives an email stating that their work has been approved, will get a Passing grade for ALL of their currently enrolled IA classes. The IA teachers have been working hard to make these activities interesting, engaging and a way to provide exploratory opportunities. We have even had families join in on trying out activities together! Here is the IA link from the Remote Learning Website: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/e/2PACX-1vQfio_SKS-5BX6ZGgrZZVS7cYZ7Oc54lfew2g-hytJfXXwrtG2wrixCP21S_UbYwc-y5QHOqeevEns8/pub?start=false&loop=false&delayms=3000&slide=id.g7235e600da_0_197.
During this time, parents might wish to get support with mental and emotional needs of their children. Here is a link on our remote learning website: https://sites.google.com/gdrsd.org/distancelearningopportunities/health-related-services
Just a reminder that you can find out about happenings in the District and the Middle School on our GDRSD Remote Learning Website. Here is the GDRMS Link: https://sites.google.com/gdrsd.org/distancelearningopportunities/school-links/groton-dunstable-middle-school
As you know, today was originally scheduled as a ‘Half Day‘ and next week was to be April Vacation. Please feel free to make today a ‘Half Day’ for school work and have your middle school child(ren) take time off over the weekend and during the Monday Holiday. Each grade level has adjusted their schedule next week to make up for no school on Monday. So there will be no Zoom classes, no office hours, and no assignments due on Monday, April 20th. Teachers will reach out with new schedules, or you can find them on the GDRSD Remote Learning website noted above.
Stay well & Master Today!
