Catie’s Closet

https://www.catiescloset.org

Starting on the 2nd of November, the GD Volunteers Club will be working with Catie’s Closet to host a three-week clothing drive through Florence Roche, Swallow Union, GDRMS, and GDRHS. This nonprofit organization collects and distributes clothing to special “closets” in schools with large numbers of homeless students. These closets provide the attire needed to feel comfortable and confident in school. There will be collection bins located outside of the offices of each school in order to create a safe and contactless transfer. Any new or gently used clothing or shoes would be greatly appreciated. Please contact the co-leaders Natalie Gavin, Ana Marchio, and Ava Metzger at ngavin22@gdrsd.us, amarchio22@gdrsd.us, and ametzger22@gdrsd.us.

GD Gear

Submitted by: Matt Ricard, Athletic Director: If anyone is looking to purchase Groton Dunstable gear, check out the link below. This online store was created by three of our student leaders at the high school. Their goal is to increase school/district pride and spirit during these strange times. I would like to thank Regan Flynn, Andrew Wenzell and Cameron Hardy for all the extra time and Zooms with Mr. Ricard to get this project going.

Destination Imagination

Submitted by Debbie Kennedy: Destination Imagination is running this year! A lot of thought has gone into making this year’s challenges accessible for teams who are fully remote, hybrid, or any range in between!

Destination Imagination is an organization that provides challenges for students in teams to creatively solve – the more creativity the better the score! Teams meet weekly to work on a solution to their challenge. If you think your child would be interested, please watch the videos below and fill out the survey.

Here is a bit of information about the program:

We are a volunteer lead organization. We need parents to become Team Managers in order to make teams-
