Principal Update January 9, 2019

  1. I hope everyone had a great New Year’s and are ready for the second half of the school year.  This is the time of the school year that our teachers start to pick up the pace with the curriculum.  The students are well aware of the classroom routines and expectations and are ready for new challenges.  Our teachers certainly know your child’s learning profile and will strive to help them continue to progress academically and socially.
  2. I know that we have not received a great deal of snow thus far.  As New Englander’s we know we are eventually going to get hit.  Please make sure your child has the appropriate gear for recess.  The kids love playing in the snow and they need to have snow boots and pants.
  3. We will be starting our grade level concerts this month.  Our 4th graders will be the first concert.  It will take place on Thursday, January 17th at 7:00 in our cafeteria.
  4. The Student Council would like to send a  sincere thank you to everyone for participating  in our two December Spirit Days to raise money for the Community Children’s Fund.
We collected  a very  impressive:  $538.91  on Superhero Day on 12/4 and $634 on Pajama Day  on 12/14   Totaling :  $1172.91
These funds will help local children throughout the new year.  Thank you so much for your generosity and community spirit.
