Dear Florence Roche Families,
I wish everyone a well deserved holiday break. This community is a special one and our students, staff and families have really pulled together to make a challenging situation a positive one over these past 3 months. Thank you for your support!
Our 2nd grade team captures the spirit of community with their unified approach to Comfy Clothes and PJs Day. We are still looking for a matching onesie for Mr. Ross!
As a reminder, December 21-23 will be full remote school days for all students. Hybrid and remote students will follow their regular daily schedules until 11:30am. Afternoon schedules for the 3 days will be shared by your child’s in person or remote teacher. The activities planned share common themes of self-reflection and community.
Special education services and support will be available during the afternoon activities. Special education liaisons will provide communication and directions to their individual students.
Students will have choice in how they explore and share their thinking about these themes. Student work will not be submitted online. We ask that you collect the work your child completes from the afternoon activities and send it in to school when they return on January 4th. A display of student work in celebration of our community is part of our plan. Remote student work will also be collected and included in a display. We will set up some drop off times for this work when we return.
You will notice we have also included some healthy brain break activities in their schedule. We hope these afternoons provide our students and families with some enriching, fun and low stress activities as we transition to a well deserved holiday break.
Happy Holidays to all!
