Maeghan Foye earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, in 2015. She recently completed the coursework portion of a Master of Education degree for Secondary (8-12) English. Maeghan has taught in a variety of educational settings which include museum education with the Tsongas Industrial History Center, the Gateway English Language Learners newcomer program, with high-risk students, and in traditional classrooms.
In addition to teaching, Maeghan is passionate about the power of Creative Writing and community outreach. As the former president of the UMass Lowell Literary Society, she coordinated several events with local artists including an ekphrastic poetry reading with the resident artists of Lowell’s Brush Art Gallery. When she is not teaching, writing, or volunteering, Maeghan enjoys reading and traveling to new places.
