Approximately 40% of the senior class will take advantage of the Senior Internship, which typically takes place during the final quarter of the senior year. This long-standing and respected program allows eligible students opportunities to pursue alternative educational experiences within the surrounding communities while exploring potential future careers. The program requires students to adhere to rigorous expectations and standards, including producing journals, holding interviews, organizing meetings and completing an extensive formal writing component. Each student’s Internship culminates in a comprehensive multimedia presentation.
Recent internship partners include: The National Zoo, Sea World, The Boston Globe, The Lowell Spinners, The Massachusetts State House, along with various engineering firms, advertising agencies, local schools and area businesses.
The links to the internship application will be available to you as a Google Document to complete. It includes many files such as Responsibilities and Obligations, a Calendar of Events, and Employer Sponsor Information, which are all accessible from the Google Site website.
This year we aim to avoid the use of paper, and instead work entirely online through Google Docs and Google Sites. Please be patient as this is an entirely new style of running Senior Internships and most people are not entirely familiar with this new technology. Thank you, enjoy your internship!
