Principal Update October 25, 2016

  1. We had a very busy field trip schedule last week.  Our 4th graders went to Mt. Wachusett as part of their land form unit.  The 3rd grade crew took their annual visit to Plimoth Planation, which is always a class favorite.  In addition, our 1st graders went pumpkin picking, and are using their pumpkins as part of their measurement unit.
  2. I want to thank Daisy/Brownie Troop #68294 and parent volunteers Jenn and Dave Greenwood, Louise Lambe, and Valerie Callahan for all their hard in beautifying the front of the school by cleaning up the shrubs and making it look great.  Also, I want to recognize parent Andrea Forsmo for her work in weeding the front of the school and planting the flowers in the the whiskey barrel.img_1478

Our classroom teachers will be receiving professional development this week in the area of writing.  Writing will be a focus for the next couple of years, and our teachers thus far have been working diligently in making adjustments and enhancements to their delivery of instruction.  We will be planning an information session for parents for a more clear understanding of our writing initiative
