December 2, 2022
Dear Florence Roche Families,
Happy December! These next weeks leading up to the holiday break will be busy for us all. Student energy typically goes up as we get closer to the break. We do our best to continue with the expected routines in order to maintain consistency for students. It is also important to maintain your routines at home, so that our students will continue to come to school ready to focus on their learning.
Our teachers were busy this week with parent conferences. This is an important opportunity to collaborate with families and develop shared goals for student progress in the months ahead. Term one ended today and teachers will begin putting together student progress reports. Student reports will be shared with families later this month.
Students are coming to school with coats, hats, and gloves/mittens as we begin to experience colder temperatures. If possible, please label your child’s outerwear, so that any missing items can be returned to them. The lost and found is already getting filled. Please stop by and check out the lost and found located just outside of the cafeteria if you are looking for any missing items.
Our 4th graders are leading a food drive for Loaves and Fishes food pantry. The food drive will run from 12/5-12/16. Stay tuned for more details included in the December episode of the FloRo News Report.
Our students will be performing as part of the PTA Winter Fair on Saturday in the middle school south building. Mr. Wiesner will be leading the students through the musical program. Here is the schedule for the grade level performances.
10:30 - Kindergarten
11:15 - 1st Grade
12:00 - 2nd Grade
12:45 - 3rd Grade
1:30 - 4th Grade
As a reminder, 12/9 is an early release day across the district.
