MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL SIERPINA
Good afternoon,
I hope you all have had a great summer. We are very excited to welcome back our students and staff next week and for what will be a great 2024-2025 school year.
We are also excited to have a few new members of our GD team - please join me in welcoming the following new staff members:
Pauline O'Neil - main office admin. assistant
Karin Mottola - Spanish teacher
Jeff Keefe - Special Education teacher
Kayla Hanlon - Paraeducator
As always, we will send this weekly newsletter every Friday with important upcoming dates, events, etc.
This year, we will also be rolling out two new policies - an "off and away" cell phone policy (it will mirror the current middle school policy) and a 1 to 1 Chromebook policy. Both of these will be presented at the August 28 school committee meeting. We will also be discussing these with the staff during our opening faculty meeting, with the students during class meetings, and families during Open House. As these will be new to the HS, they will both be rolled out slowly in order to work out any glitches and to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Again, we are very excited for the upcoming school year and are looking forward to working together to ensure success for all our students. Thank you and enjoy these last few days.
Best,
Stephen Sierpina
