Hello Middle School families. We did it! We got through 4 days of school during a New England heatwave. Thank you all for your support and patience. We had a great week. Students are learning our Core Values, teachers and students are making connections and it was an overall great start.
In this memo you will find new information from the community that pertains to our middle school community.

School Council: I did try to get this off the ground last fall and it fell through the cracks. That’s on me. So this fall I am looking for a few parents and staff to be part of the School Council for the 2023-2024 school year. The School Council will work together to plan and execute our school improvement plan, we will thoughtfully plan and engage in enrichment activities that create learning opportunities above and beyond the classroom that align with curriculum frameworks.
I would like to hold these meetings from 2:30-3:30 and they will be every other month. We will need to have at least 4 throughout the school year.
SEPAC There is a SEPAC event on September 13th at 9:30 in the PTYC. This is a coffee and conversation event. All are welcome.
Middle School Play:
This coming Fall, the Drama Club, in conjunction with Groton-Dunstable Community Education, will be holding auditions for Nemo. Auditions will be held on September 11 (Last name A-L ) and 12 (Last name M-Z). 2:30-4. Rehearsals will be held Monday through Friday after school in the PAC, starting on September 14th. Please contact Lorien Corbelletti with any questions at lcorbelletti@gdrsd.org.
If your student wishes to participate in Finding Nemo Jr. as stage crew, they too need to register (and pay) on the GD website under Extended Day Programs. We have received a lot of emails from parents about their students participating as crew, but they are currently not listed or registered on the roster. If you don't register by today the cost goes up.
