Hello Middle School families. I hope you are having a great weekend. If we have been together since I started here you may remember that I have a niece who rides horses competitively. I am spending the weekend at the New England Finals at the Big E fairgrounds. Rainy but so fun. This was her last year as a junior.
New Information:
Parent Conferences, for your planning purposes, we will be having Parent Conferences on the afternoon of November 15th 12-2:30 and evening conferences on November 16th 6-8. Teachers will be getting ready to send out their sign ups. Please remember we do not have enough slots for everyone. We just don’t. It’s unfortunate and can be frustrating and we know that but our hands are tied. Please keep that in mind when signing up and if you need to reach out about slots. Thank you for your anticipated patience with this.
Reminders:
Grade 8, I sent out a google form to gauge interest in the DC trip if you have not already done so please fill it out. Even if you are not interested please fill it out.
School Council, Our New Council is; Jennifer MacMillan, Elizabeth Pendal, Jennifer Moore, and Rebecca Weksner. Our teachers are Nicole Flynn, Nicole Stone and Kris Lefebvre. Our first meeting is going to be held on Monday afternoon at 2:45 in the South Office Conference Room.
Slippers, please remind your students that soft sole fuzzy slippers should not be worn at school. Thank you

Annual Fundraising Campaign, I wanted to bring this back to the top. Our Middle School PTO can’t do all the things they do without your support.
Each year, the GDMS PTO runs a campaign to raise funds for the school year and beyond. All funds raised are integral to our mission to support the well-rounded educational experience of students and staff at the middle school. We appreciate any and all support. Thank you!
Volunteers Needed
The PTO is looking for volunteers to fill a variety of roles. There are opportunities available for people who are able to donate one hour of their time, people who have several hours to give, and everyone in between. We would love to work with you! See our flyer for more information.
