MSPTO, Join us for our General Meeting
The PTO will hold its quarterly General Meeting on Thursday, March 7 @6pm in the MS North Library. Come and hear what we have been up to and what we have planned for the rest of the school year. We hope to see you there!
7th and 8th grade Homework Club, we are offering an afterschool homework club for our 7th and 8th grade students. This has been a successful club in the south and wanted to offer to the North. Here is the link to sign up. https://gdrsd.myrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=29910
Does your student play an instrument, sing, dance, and like to perform? GDRMS is hosting a Student Showcase on March 12th at 7:00 PM in the PAC. If your student is interested in performing, please fill out THIS FORM before March 5th. If you have any questions, email Ms. Stone at estone@gdrsd.org.
Culture and Climate Survey, On February 15th, all parents were emailed the “Community” School Climate Survey for GDRSD. Your feedback matters and is very important to the process. If you have completed the survey(s), we thank you. If you have not completed the survey(s), please consider doing so as soon as possible. To date we have 23% completed surveys. We would like to have a much higher return percentage. We have extended the deadline to submit your response to Monday, March 4th. Reminders have been sent to all parents with incomplete surveys. Thank you.
This coming Tuesday March 5th is our last day for Ski Club and there will be Voting in the South Gym. It may be very busy. To our Ski Club families please be careful and drive slow as you drive into the parking lot between Florence Roche and middle school south as that lot is being reserved for voters to park and voting starts at 7am.
School Council Our next meeting will be March 18th in the South Library. All are welcome to attend.
Athletics, GDRMS..Spring Registration is open for the following sports:
Track & Field grades 5-8
Baseball games 6-8
Softball grades 6-8
Girls Volleyball grades 7-8
Depending on enrollment cuts may have to be made. All students must be fully registered and all past payments made to tryout.
Square 1 Art, Our Middle School PTO is running the Square 1 Art fundraiser again this year. Students will be getting their kits next week. Kits should be back to advisory teachers by 2/29. We will have the catalogs back for you to order by March 25th. Order deadline for parents will be April 5th. Orders ship directly to parents and should be in by Mother’s Day.
