Family Memo

Hello Middle School families. I hope you are having  a great weekend.

I had asked teachers to ask students what they thought our Core Values of Ownership Awareness and Kindness looked, felt and sounded like.  This was an Advisory activity prior to break and this week in our morning announcements we started to share out with the whole school community. This was a look like from this week.  Love it!

  • What does Awareness look like??? Be aware and open to there being two sides of a story and get both before making a judgment

This coming week we will be observing Autism Acceptance week.  As part of that we will have a Day of Difference on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.   Our Groton-Dunstable student leaders participating in the World of Difference will be facilitating the day in conjunction with Autism Acceptance Week across the district. High school and middle school student leaders will engage classrooms in an interactive read aloud discussion to build awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity and promote an inclusive community in which the varying needs and abilities of all are honored and understood.
