Hello Middle School families. I hope you have a great weekend.
Core Values of Ownership Awareness and Kindness looked, felt and sounded like. This week's favorite…
Kindness sounds like, “hey, are you okay?”
This is from a grade 7 Advisory Activity.
Shout out to the MSPTO, Thank you to the MSPTO, and to the families that support the PTO, for supplying our middle school this week with nutritious snacks for Math MCAS. Thank you. I believe there are snacks set aside already for 5&8 Science and 8 Civics.
Mountain bike club;
Meet Fridays 3:45-5pm in the Groton Town Forest. This is a link to the Peter Twomey website and registration: https://gdrsd.myrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=29900
PTYC; They are trying to get more enrollment for their Summer Camp Counselor in Training program that piloted last year that is available for incoming 8th +9th grade students. If your student might have an interest in a program like this, I have attached this link. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdwgfDAq2nVMRIgZJwKOfSuSP0C-d8vZkGfitqH6a-YVhKQFw/viewform
Driving on Campus; Parents as a reminder please remember that some of our roads are 1 way. Please follow the correct directions. We are finding that particularly after school during sports pick up that families are not following the signs. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Middle School PTO will be holding their Annual Meeting on May 22 @6pm in the Middle School North Library and over Zoom. At this meeting we will hold our elections for next school year, vote on the 2024-2025 PTO budget, and vote to amend the by-laws.
School Council, we will have our last School Council meeting of the school year on Monday May 20th at 2:45 in the South Library. As a reminder all are welcome to attend. If you have any questions about what the reductions will look like for your students I will have time in the agenda to discuss this. Another agenda topic will be a presentation from a member of Groton’s civic life. There is an effort to name the Middle School South building after a local environmental champion, Marion Stoddart. This presenter will have the first 15 minutes of our meeting.
Our Middle School Baseball team had a cool walk off win on Tuesday. Mr. Bennett shared a few pictures with me.
