Hello Middle School families. We did it! Students are here!
We spent time showing your students around their new areas of the school, we had 2 grade level assemblies, reviewed our Core Values and our non-negotiables and of course spent time getting to know your students and who they are.
I hope your students came home and said that they had a great first two days.
We wanted to give a big shout out to our MSPTO and all of the families who have supported our Amazon “wish list”. Teachers have been getting supplies and they are so happy. Your contribution to this has really made an impact. We appreciate you, thank you!
We will be holding our Annual Bookfair the week of Sept 16th. Be on the lookout for a sign-up genius if you would like to volunteer.
Our Nursing Office would like to remind families that:
Medications at School:
- Please remember that ALL prescription medications that will be administered at school require a completed Doctors order and parent consent form. Please bring these completed forms with you when you drop off medication

- all required health forms can be found at this link:
https://www.gdrsd.org/page/health
**All medications and required forms will be dropped off/sent to Middle School South
Physical Exams:
- a physical exam and up to date immunizations are required for ALL new students entering school
- all students in 7th grade need to submit an up to date physical and immunizations dated from January 2024 - June 2025
Student Expectations for Chromebooks
Student supplies such as textbooks and Chromebooks are very important to student learning but costly to the district. It is the policy of the district that the cost of textbooks that are damaged or lost must be covered by parents. The same policy is in place for Chromebooks. Any damage that makes a Chromebook in need of repair or unusable may require parents to reimburse the district for this expense, at the discretion of building administration. The cost of repairs is usually between $25 - $50. The cost of a Chromebook, which must be replaced due to loss or extreme damage, is $250. Parents who believe reimbursement would be a financial hardship for their families should contact their student’s principal.
