Also, we seek volunteers to serve on an advisory committee comprised of students, parents/guardians, and staff; we would like two stakeholders from each group, K-4, 5-8, and 9-12. The advisory committee will discuss the menu to ensure that the menu follows NSLP meal patterns simultaneously and is both enjoyable to the student and acceptable to the parents/guardians.
For our elementary parents/guardians: Even though school breakfasts and lunches are free, students are required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to input their PIN ID at the point of sale when receiving a breakfast or lunch; please help the cafeteria staff by helping your student know their ID number, it is their LASID and generally, they only need to know the last five digits (the alternate ID, e.g. 67312345, where 12345 would be the alt ID and is required), we are currently going through each student's profile to make sure this alt ID is in place.
