Swallow Union Update
Week of April 3rd, 2023
We had an amazing Author’s Visit yesterday and spent time learning about the many talents of author and illustrator Matt Tavares! Matt explained what an author does, shared some of his books with us through a read-aloud, and how he loves to tell stories and illustrate. He shared that his interest began in elementary school, and even gave us some tricks on drawing! We are very grateful to our PTO for supporting this visit, Matt is inspiring and brought relevance to the importance of reading, writing, illustrating, and following your passion!
Our favorite Play Director Jon Swift has returned to cast students in the upcoming play, Beauty and the Beast! Seeing so many students come out to audition and be part of the fun and school community was truly wonderful!
