 Message from Mrs. Jarvis, Principal

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives.  Of all the blessings in my life, I am thankful to be growing my professional family here at Swallow Union.  Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving as you spend time with your family and friends.  I hope your day is full of food, laughter, and quality time with those you love.

We began our week finishing out strong showing our school spirit!  Congratulations to our First Grade Team for winning the Color Wars (it was so close!) and earning an extra recess.

Family Assistance for the Holidays:

We wanted to share with our families that there are community agencies that are able to provide confidential help for GDRSD families that are struggling. If you are in need of some assistance with holiday food and/or gifts, please fill out this form and return it to your child’s teacher or school nurse as soon as possible. Again, all information is strictly confidential.

Showcasing Student Work

Swallow Union teachers do a tremendous job adorning our hallways with student work.  Themes of thankfulness, family, and love are wonderful to see and read for all who pass through our school.  When we celebrate and value student work, we elevate student engagement, pride, and achievement.
