
Current fourth graders walked the Nature trail during Phys Ed with Mrs. Pelletier, utilizing the bridge that was created by last year's fourth graders and their families.

Thank you for our parent volunteers and staff for providing the SU students and families with a fun "Spooktacular Halloween Drive Thru Parade" this past Friday night.


Fourth-grade students were thrilled to experience a Virtual Field Trip to the Ashfall Fossil Beds in Nebraska hosted by Educator Daniel George.

After exploring the Unit "Why do birds have beaks?" from Mystery Science, first Grade Scientists in Mrs. Caulfield's class used "beaks" to sort rocks and beans.

Thank you to our SU PTO for providing our first graders with pumpkins. They are being used creatively in our math and science curriculum at the first grade level.

Mrs. Mulligan and second graders discussing and writing about a favorite book, ‘Toys Go Out’. Students are sharing what they know, what they want to know more about, and what they learned!



Students practicing the script for the daily announcements and the Pledge of Allegiance…they did a great job too! A great way to start the day!


Student Council is up and running with 40 4th graders this year! Mrs. Wynn and Mrs. Moeller have led them in establishing subcommittees, planning events and team building activities.


Our Mascot Design Finalists collaborated to create one composite sketch which was digitized by a GDRHS student. We look forward to seeing their final product on Spirit Wear later this year!


SU 4th graders had their first Student Council meeting this past week. Our Council was open to all our 4th graders who wanted to participate. I want to thank Mrs. Wynn and Mrs. Moeller for leading this group.

SU had a wonderful welcome back to school Color Run / Picnic this past Friday night. Our students had a blast. I want to thank all our volunteers for their time and effort in making this event such a success.


First graders were very engaged in Math games, exploring a Math practice program and designing rockets after learning about Space Travel!
