Winter themed teamwork. In PE this week we built hula hoop igloos (hula huts) as teams and then participated in a team relay to gather equipment to construct a winter scene. It was an excellent opportunity for teamwork, creativity and physical activity all in one. It's amazing what they came up with!

In 2B's Valentine's STEM project, students explored and then kept in mind the four properties of flight when designing and constructing paper airplanes. The goal was to build a paper plane (with a bonus secret message written inside) to fly the farthest. Students used meters and inches to measure flight distance.

After being invited in by the students of 3D, they each had a chance to read their persuasive essay to Mrs. Jarvis as to why they should get an extra recess! The top reasons were exercise, more time with friends, fresh air, and helping with concentration. No better reasons! Well done convincing Mrs. Jarvis for an extra recess!
